I am trying 2 install a larger blank hard drive(250GB) into my Dell Latitude

the original hard drive is a 60GB which came with Windows 8 but once I accessed the internet microsoft upgraded it 2 Windows 10.I am trying 2 install Windows 8.1 full install onto the blank 250GB hard drive but it starts "collecting info." then stops and requires non specific"drivers" so I bought a 16GB flashdrive & downloaded all of the required downloads for my specific laptop from Dell & as much of the original 60GB hard drive as would fit on the flashdrive but it continues to lock up about missing drivers
