I just bought my first mini netbook.
The box says it is a Dell IM10v-28040BK
Inspiron Mini 10 inch laptop computer.
My questions are:
1) Where do I put my game CD's?
2) What keeps the battery charged?
3) It says it is wireless so how do I get on the internet?
4) What is a Windows 7 Starter and where do I find it?
5) It says it comes with McAfee but in the list of programs I find the stupid Norton already downloaded. I hate that program. How do I get rid of it? Do I just go to ADD/DELETE PROGRAMS and delete it?
I'm sure these sound like stupid questions but like I said, this is my first netbook and I have been 10 plus years on my PC. This newbie is a nighmare so hope someone can help me out or I will just junk it.
Thank you for any help.

Hi,
1) There is no CD drive that come standard on the Mini 10 but there is an external CD/DVD Drive that you can buy
2) Not too sure what you mean about how the battery keeps its charge, its a standard battery and works like any other battery
3) To set up the internet go to start (Windows Globe at the bottom left) and go to control panel and then click on Network and Sharing Center, follow the instructions there
4) Windows 7 Starter is the Operating System that is running on the netbook
5) Yes uninstall Norton but i am not sure how they supply McAfee to you it should be on the Netbook. You may have to download it. If it is missing just call the Dell support line for FREE as it is covered in your warranty.
I hope this helps.

You're not going to be playing many games on this -- once you try the first time, you'll see why.
Netbooks are decidedly NOT for gaming. The CPU is slow and the graphics weak.

What I meant about the battery is, how does it charge? Do I leave in it computer and it charges by itself? If I am using computer w/power plug instead of battery, is the battery charging? I don't have a charger with computer.
So when I set up the internet, I don't need a landline (my pc is dial-up) and my other laptop is not connected to internet because I use it for games and website drawings only. What is a router for? What is WiFi? What is a wireless connection? So I just follow the instructions for Network and Sharing and that is all I need to do?
It says Windows7 Starter on the box but when I start up the netbook, it appears to be the same as my other computers with regular Windows. There is also a little square thing that is about 1"X1-1/4" plugged into the left side. What is that for? What makes it work? I have a simular one for my cell phone that lets me put pictures on it. Kinda like a memory thing to give me more space when the space on my cell phone is used up.
Thank you so much for your help and I am sorry I am so full of questions but this netbook is soooo different from my pc and I have had pc's since Windows95!!!
