INSPIRON N7110 - memory upgrade

I currently have 6GB and I'd like to increase to the max which I believe is 8GB.

Since N7110 has 2 slots i probably have one slot 4GB and another slot 2GB.

Can I add 2GB to slot 2 or i have to replace the 2GB with a 4GB?

Hi yes, if those are the original RAM modules, you can go ahead with the same part# of Hynix memory module. The part# should be on the memory modules starting with CN-0xxxxx (xxxxx is the part# ).

Hi, thanks for your post.

My current 4GB is Hynix 4GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600S-9-10-F2 HMT351S6BFR8C-H9 N0 AA.

The other one is a NANYA NT5CB256M8BN-C6

I guess I should be fine by getting another one exactly the same as the 4GB already installed to replace the 2GB chip

Thanks

Angelo
