Imaging Devices (Webcam) missing on Inspiron 1545 Windows 7

My computer is basically telling me my internal camera doesnt exist. I really dont understand. A lot of the forums and tech support I found says something about Imaging Devices in Programs and Features and Dell Webcam Central but both are non existent on my computer. I found and download the Dell Webcam Central but it made no difference. Dell Webcam Central tells me to plug in a supported device. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jaeo,

Good work on troubleshooting. I would suggest you to update the BIOS on the computer. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, then download the BIOS required onto the system and install it.

Also, I would suggest you to run the test on Webcam on the system.

1.       Open the link http://dell.to/14YjKb2

2.       Select ‘Hardware’ under ‘Advanced’ tab.

3.       Select ‘Camera’.

4.       Click on ‘Run Diagnostics’ button.

5.       Let me know if the results.
