Inspirion 15 7000, no sleep when lid closed

I bought this, hooked it up to my monitor and keyboard when at my desk... close the lid and it goes to sleep.  I checked forums, they assure me I can turn this off under power settings... but they of course show images of earlier Windows version.  is this no longer available in Windows 10?

So you went to settings-System-Power and Sleep-Additional Power Settings and changed what happens when you close the lid  and it had no effect?

You might open an admin command prompt and type the command below and see what it shows about the Sleep option.

powercfg /a

That works, but actually this particular "classic" interface is still available and unchanged under Windows 10, so I'm not sure what you're reading that isn't helping you.  Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Advanced power settings > Power buttons and lid.
