Inspiron 1100 battery light
A few months back I upgraded my bios from A02 to A22 to A32. I did it in an attempt to get my lapper to recognize a memory upgrade. That is in another post.
Since then my battery light flashes like 4 ambers and then 1 green all of the time. That's on the charger or the battery. I thought I read somewhere that there is a fix for this. It doesn't affect operation but is kind of annoying. I am on XP Home SP3.

OK so I bought a new battery off of Ebay and the light quit blinking. It is now off when running the battery and on green when plugged.I have not ran the battery down to see if any lights blink or whatever, but I intend to. So I guess that the lights were working as they should or started to after the bios update.
