Inspiron 14R 5421 (touch) won't turn on

Yeah, hi. My laptop was working beautifully earlier today. Then I put it to sleep, went away for two hours, and when I came back and tried to turn it on, it was completely and inexplicably dead. I have already gone through the steps of unplugging it, taking out the battery, holding down the power button to discharge any residual charge, plugging it back in and trying to turn it on, and then putting the battery back in. Absolutely nothing happens. There are no lights on the computer. There is no beeping, the fan isn't running - it's just a dead lump of machinery. Also, when I plug in the power cord to the wall, the green indicator light on the cord glows, but as soon as I plug the cord into the computer that light blinks out. I have tried several different outlets and they have all had the same effect. My warranty expired just under a month ago. I haven't had any problems with it prior to this. Please advise. Thanks.
