Inspiron 15 3537 sleep/hibernate problem
I recently got an inspiron 15 3537 and installed windows 8.1. I installed drivers for the intel HD graphics and AMD Radeon HD 8670m cards from windows update. The problem is that my laptop does not shutdown while the fast start up option is checked in power configuration. The screen turns black but HDD and power light remain on for a long time. It also does not recover from sleep mode. Also does not recover if display is turned of when laptop is idle. I've looked around for a solution but didn't find anything that worked. Any help will be appreciated.

What operating was originally installed? You should not replace the graphics drivers unless you get those from Dell. Dell customizes video drivers for laptops and you should not replace them with the card manufacturers' drivers or from Windows Update.Go to Dell Drivers and Downloads and reinstall the original win 8 drivers.or--See if Dell has windows 8.1 updates for your model and use those. This might not have anything to do with your power problem but it is a good place to start. Maybe a return to factory settings would help and do the upgrade to 8.1 again.

Same here. I have a dell3537 with Ci7 and AMD8570and I am facing the same issue of extremely slow startup and shutdown. When I uninstalled the AMD driver then with the Intel Graphics4400 the system startup and shutdown is normal..nearly instant. But after re-install :(
I had both Intel and AMD drivers downloaded from Dell website.

This solved my problem.
i downloaded this program and completely removed all AMD drivreshttp://archive.sunet.se/pub/games/PC/guru3d/ddu/DDU-v102-%5BGuru3D.com%5D.exe
then, i downloaded and installed Intel's graphic drivers http://downloads-us.dell.com/FOLDER01813275M/9/Video_Intel_W8_A04_Setup-HNY1P_ZPE.exe
reboot
then, i downloaded and installed AMD drivres http://downloads-us.dell.com/FOLDER01500882M/24/Video_AMD_W84_X03_A00_Setup-P28NG_ZPE.exe
reboot.
problem seems to be solved now!
Only drawback is i cant play some games because it seems that hardware acceleration is disabled. Now trying to find a solution to that.

A Solve my problem.
I try all writen above and it solve problem for few days, after that all gose the same, Laptop don't awake on opening cover durign sleep/hibernate.
I disable Login on Wake up, I have Win 8.1 Pro 64bit and this is enable by defaut.
I disable this option, so now when I open cover on Laptop, monitor turns on, and ti goes directly to Desktop.No prolem with black screean.
Work fine about 4 mounts.
