Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming - Bug with Intel HD Graphics 630 when waking from sleep

After the last automatic driver update the screen gets gray fuzzy after waking from sleep. Other people are also getting the same problem (see this forum). The problem seems to be happening only with this laptop in particular and, therefore, I ask Dell for help.

Please don't tell me to rollback the driver and edit the registry to stop automatic updates.

Rick.

rickehrle,

Unfortunately, Rolling back the display drivers is part of the troubleshooting steps to try resolving the issue.

If you run into issues after updating a driver, you can restore the previous driver by using the rollback option.

Open Device Manager, click Start > Control Panel > Device Manager
Expand Display Adapters
Double-click on your Intel® display device
Select the Driver tab
Click Roll Back Driver to restore
If the option to roll back driver is grayed-out, one of the following applies:

Your computer has not had a previous driver installed for that device.
Your computer did not retain the driver files from the original version installed.

Jesse L,

Thank you for your message.

The Roll Back option is not enabled. If I do it by hand by installing an earlier version, windows updates it automatically.

Hi, Thanks for the tip. Would you have a description of the procedure?

Regarding the driver, windows automatically rolled it back a few days ago. The glitch is over, however the original driver is also buggy when connecting external displays.
