Inspiron 1521 Hard Drive

Is there anyway to fix bad sectors  other than replacing the hard drive? And if I must replace the hard drive, can anyone recommend an upgrade for this model, like maybe this one?

No, there's no fix - replace the drive.  That drive will work just fine - newegg.com is $20 less expensive and a lot more reliable than Tiger.

Coming from dxdiag:

Processors: AMD Turion 64x 2 Mobile Technology TL-58 (2 CPU's) `1.9 GHz

If this is upgradeable could you please link me one of the better upgrades for it, or tell me what I need to know to find an upgrade such as pin type or chip set or something like that

While I'm at it, is there anyway to upgrade the video card or processors on the 1521 to go with my upgraded hard drive?

Processor maybe - depends on what you now have.  Video chip, no upgrade.

The AMD TL-60 and TL-64 will work as upgrades.

Dell never shipped the TL-66 or TL-68;  they may or may not work.
