If that's not working, have you run the system diagnostics check yet? If the diagnostics show that the hard drive has failed, you will need a new one. If you are still under warranty, you can contact Tech Support to set that up, or if you're out of warranty, you can contact the Out of Warranty repair department for repairs or you can contact your local computer repair store.
As suggested by you all, I have run the ePSA diagnostics test and the error code is 2000-0142 and validation code is 101342. I don't know, what to do now ?
The warranty period is over 9 months before. I don't understand one thing , my laptop had worked perfectly for a day after I got it serviced at Dell authorised service center in Chennai ( Spencer plaza )... The hinges of the laptop were changed. And they even checked the system, it was booting ..so no issues with the hard disk....after a day it stopped functioning and system is not booting.....
Unfortunately we do not have a way to find the root cause of the part failure, we can fix the issue if there is any.
You may call Dell support on 18004258045, Please key in the express service code in the IVR. It will connect your call to the right agent.. He/She will be able to assist you get the replacement hard drive.
