Inspiron 15Z 5523 Not Turning on - 3 BEEPS & BLACK SCREEN
Hey Guys,
Recently a week ago, I watched a movie and put my dell ultrabook to sleep, the next day, when i started it up, The laptop started giving out three beeps, Then i took it to my local service center who said that the motherboard was faulty, I didn't seem to believe them, so i disassembled the laptop and replaced the cmos battery, after an overnight capacitor drain.
The laptop finally started, and i was met with the dell logo, I tried tapping F2/F12 to no avail, then a black screen appeared mentioning "PXE-ROM : Exiting PXE ROM", This screen comes very rarely, Only after 12 hours of cmos drain. I can't seem to access windows, My hard drive is well working.
Any help would be appreciated

3 beeps is a motherboard failure - kindly review this article for # of beeps and the component associated - http://dell.to/1IuETMX
Try forcing a BIOS update - http://dell.to/2h9shSO - but am not sure if that would work since the system does not go past the Dell logo.
Try the BIOS recovery method - http://dell.to/2loxMBh
If it still does not work, then the motherboard needs to be replaced.
