Inspiron 17 7000 Series NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750 M 2 GB DDR5 - Upgrade

Hi,

Is the graphics card integrated or interchangeable? Want to play Call of Duty Ghosts and found out it will only play at medium resolution (1366x768 Normal).

Is there a way to upgrade the graphics? Have the 16 GB ram version.

Find it kind of weak that the flagship 17' cant handle modern games at high resolution.

Hope to hear,

G

Alienware has the same spec except a 3GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770M Grafikkarte mit 3GB GDDR5 and costs almost 1k more, youre right. What I want to know (which you didnt asnwer) is it possible to upgrade the NVIDIA 750 ?

The present XPS series is Sub inspiron 7000

There is no way to upgrade the video chip on any current Inspiron or XPS system, no.  Only on some Alienware systems is there still a separate video card that can be removed for upgrading.

The history is XPS was Dell's gaming systems until they bought Alienware. Inspiron(s) are nice, but not intended for high-end gaming. From what I can tell from the product manuals the video card is not interchangeable. There is a lot more in an Alienware than just comparing Video Card and Memory. Otherwise we would all just buy the $1500 laptop instead of the $3000 laptops.

From what I seen on youtube, you may have another issue going on. The performance looked good on the game-play reviews I saw.

Not certain about flagship, Alienware and XPS are more geared to high-end gaming than Inspiron.
