Inspiron 1720 Upgrade WXGA to WUXGA
I would like to upgrade a few of my components on my Laptop. I have the Inspiron 1720 with the WXGA display, I want to know if I can upgrade it to the WXGA. If that is possible, will I need a new inverter board? Thanks in advance.

You will indeed need a new panel and inverter, plus a new LVDS cable (the cable that runs between the mainboard and the display panel inside the system).
Given the age of the system, expect a major performance drop as well (the higher resolution display will require significantly more GPU power to run).
