Inspiron 1720 won't start: Lights- Num: flash, Caps: on, Shift: Flash

Jump to solution

Trying to figure out why my laptop won't start. I only get a blinking cursor in the top left corner when I turn on laptop. I press the [FN] key with power and get the Num: blinking, Caps: on, Shift: blinking code. can anyone tell me what this stands for and how to fix. any help would be great.

Thank you speed step. I replaced the ram under the keyboard and it fixed the problem.
