Inspiron 1750 - No Power or Charge

My Inspiron has just stopped working, I went to turn it on and it wont start, took the battery out and that wont work either - tried all the usual quick fixes but not - also note: the charger light is on but theres no lights on the laptop.

I ordered a new DC Jack Board and fitted it - still no difference with power.

Any suggestions on what it could be?
