Inspiron 2205 Screen Brilliance

Inspiron 2205/Windows 7 Home Premium.  If I switch it to SLEEP (and I'm not too sure if it's worth doing that anyway, as there's no Battery to waste) - on switching back ON, the screen is always at 1/2 or minimum brilliance, ie almost ureadable.  Why might that be?  Any Takers, please.

RE: Inspiron 2205 Screen Brilliance

Hi Alsinspiron,

You may try to update the system BIOS from the link below.

http://dell.to/17ngzvB

Note: Before updating BIOS please ensure that:
*No external devices (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) should be connected.
*All other programs should be closed and documents saved

Also please share the screen shot of the ‘Device Manager’ with ‘Display Adapters’ expanded.

  • Press ‘Windows’ key + R on ‘Desktop’ screen
  • Type ‘devmgmt.msc’ in run box and press ‘Enter’
  • Click > sign next to ‘Display adapters’

Keep me posted with the information. I will be glad to assist you further.

Thanks & Regards
