Inspiron 710m- monitor blinked, went black after splashing wine on it

Inspiron 710m- monitor is black, can barely see icons,  splashed wine on monitor it ran the next day for a while and went black again. Did a monitor test and got three little lock boxes, a 9, a A, and a downward arrow.; Tried the driver and utility cd but the screen is too dark to see. Also tried to brighten it but that didn't work either; ??? Do I need a new monitor or is it a light  or bulb of some sort? Thank you for any suggestions or answers. Suke
