Inspiron E1705 Ram

I recently ordered some RAM from Dell, and today I opened the packaging to get at the paper instructions underneath the plastic tray holding the RAM. I was trying to be as careful as I could so that I wouldn't touch the hardware itself, however it slipped slightly and in order to get the RAM safely back into spot I had to nudge it with my fingers into place. The instructions say that the hard ware is very delicate; can anyone tell me if it's highly likely that I've ruined the RAM or not?

Chances are that you are OK. Problems due to static can occur if you touch any of the pins. If the module works after inserted in the socket, then don't worry. I have handled hundreds of RAM chips and modules, and never had a problem. Just make sure you are grounded by keeping one hand on a grounded part of the computer while handling the module.
