Inspiron M5040 problem when format
Hello, I tried to format my laptop using a Windows 7 cd since Dell didn't gave me the original. After the first step there was a message about a failure and I am stuck to the following stage:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.
Any help? Thanks in advance Stylianos

A faulty hard drive is at the top of the list of suspects. Press f12 a few times at powerup, boot to the Dell diagnostics and run an extended hard drive test.

Make sure your 7 disc has SP1 already on it -- the original version won't work.

All tests passed successfully hard drive works :( Any other recommendations?
