Yes, this wireless chipset is both B and G capable.
Note that unlike some dell laptops the bluetooth capability with this laptop is an optional item, it is not included by default with the wireless card installed.
you could take it to N with a usb dongle. If it's a standard pcie card there should be no reason you couldn't find an a/b/g card that would work in this even if dell doesn't officially sell one.
