Inspiron N4010 Wireless Connect Automatically boxes are always checked and wireless disconnects when I close the laptop.

Every time I close the laptop, the wireless disconnects. It never did this before I updated the wireless driver. I uninstalled the device completely and restarted to re-install it and it still does the same thing.

Also, every wireless network that is detected gets set to "connect automatically." Each time I uncheck the box, it is still checked when I look at it later.

So, my frustration begins when I close the lid and the wireless gets disconnected. Then, when I open it again, it immediately tries to connect to the first wireless network it sees.


Pleas help.

Hi justindally,

Ensure “When I close the lid” is set to “ Do nothing” on battery and on adapter.

Also, refer the following link which has a video to set the Power options for the lid:
