Inspiron laptop mouse is too sensitive

I have an Inspiron 1150 laptop which has a mouse that has a mind of its own. When I am navigating on a page that has several options to click on, sometimes an option I don't want gets activated, as if I selected it (but I didn't). Does anyone know how to control this behaviour? Looking at the mouse controls, I see nothing that addresses this.

Thanks,

Bob Glover

This is the DESKTOP section. Best to post your Laptop problem on the LAPTOP section.

One suggestion, have you tried a different mouse?

The post has been moved.

The mouse I use is built-in to the box. No external mouse.

Try installing this driver : http://ftp.us.dell.com/input/Tp2ua14i.exe

Also change the mouse settings from control panel..
