Install Extra RAM

Hi,

I want to Add 2 gb  DDR3 1333MHZ RAM  to my laptop, My system has a 2 gb ram but problem is its DDR2(PC2-6400/800 Mhz ) Ram , so wanted to know whether i can add 2GB DDR3 1333MHZ RAM along side this existing  DDR2 ram, will DDR2 and DDR3 technology RAM work together.

Thanks in advance :emotion-1:

No, you can't.  Systems that use DDR-2 can't take DDR-3 -- so even if you have just one module now, you can't add a DDR-3.  Be sure that when you do upgrade, check to make sure your current RAM is 1X2G -- it may well be 2 1G modules (in which case you must remove them to upgrade, using DDR-2 of course, NOT DDR-3).
