Just bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 - How do I turn on the backlit keyboard feature?

I have no idea how to turn on the backlit keyboard feature. There is a button (f10) which is supposed to turn it on, but when I press it nothing happens. Would appreciate some help here! Thanks.

I believe it's an option on your model, so if you have it the F10 key will have a little light icon on it.  If the icon isn't there you may not have that option included on your computer.  Fn+F10 key should toggle the keyboard backlight if you have it.

I also had the same problem, pressing F10 works fine. Make sure the Media key is enabled by pressing (Fn + Esc) then press F10  to adjust the keyboard brightness as well as turning it on.
