KEyboard help!!

I bought an Inspiron 1501 and everytime i put my laptop to a standby or hibernate mode an error message occurs..it says "The device driver for the standard 101/1-2-key or micro natural ps/2 keyboard device is preventing the machine from entering standby." Even if I close all applications, the same error message appears.When I try to update the keyboard driver, the wizard cant find any matched software for it..Help!!thanks!
