Keyboard sensitivity.

new Vostro 1700 laptop.

I have been finding that sometimes when I touch keys during typing that they don't register the strike.  If I go back and strike slightly harder, they then work.

Is there a keyboard sensitivity setting?

NO

I would replace the keyboard

Call or e-mail DELL tech support if the machine is under warranty

thanks.

I think I can relate this problem to the CPU being pinned at 100% when it is running certain apps.  During that time the keyboard misses about 20% of keystrokes.  If I shut down some apps, the keyboard gets back to normal.   So is there a way to not allow other apps to take such control of resources that the keyboard is not working properly?
