Laptop Battery help.

Hi! I've Inspiron N4050 purchased in march 2012 (with a default 6 cell battery). The battery health was 70% when 15 moths warranty expired (June 2013). Now the timing is reduced to just one hour so I checked the health and it showed 30%.

Now I wanna ask:

1: Is there any way to increase the battery health?

2: Have the dell batteries the overcharge protection?

3: Where to buy new battery (genuine) in Lahore Pakistan and how much it costs.

Hi Usman798,

Please update the BIOS using the link below and check if the issue persists

Connect the Ac Adapter before updating the BIOS and do not use the system until it restarts after the update.

Battery life always depends on the system usuage, to improve the battery life please refer to the link below.

Normally, the battery will not overcharge the circuity that controls the charging in the battery. To purchase the battery you need to contact the Dell authorized dealer in Pakistan.

I hope you find this useful.
