Laptop Inspiron will not Turn on
My Inspiron 8000 will not turn on. When I press the Power button, the green lights will turn on for 3 secs then turn off again, nothing else happen. I tried reseat battery, no good. Any body know whats going on??

i have also such a problem.
If i push the power button, the 3 lights are on for something like 5 seconds, but nothing else turns on ... and then the lights go off again and the laptop is still off.
If i repeat this 1-4 times then he starts normally ... but that can't be normal ;)
EDIT: i have an inspiron 8600

Hi,
I have similar problem and something more. Mine powers on with the adapter plugged in. Now, looking at my batt indicator it shows 93%. So I try to run from batt by unplugging the adapter and it shuts down instantly.
Only if I push the power button while keeping it depressed the laptop powers on completely with battery power. If I let go of the power button it shuts down instantly. This does not happen if I have the power adapter plugged in.
What can cause this problem?!
