Laptop not turning on properly

When connected to AC power, sometimes I need to press the power button for long to start the computer and sometimes it doesn't even start. In the latter case, when I turn off the AC power and press the power button again(sometimes for long, sometimes not) it starts off(most of the times). I don't face any issue once the computer starts.

Can anyone please tell me what's wrong with my laptop?

Laptop: N5010, Inspiron 15R

Thank you

RE: Laptop not turning on properly

Hi chandranshun,

Thanks for the reply.

Try performing flea power. Remove the power cable and any external peripherals like a printer, external hard drive, etc. Now hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds and then connect the power cable back in, and restart the computer. Check if it helps resolve the issue. If the issue still persists, please update the system BIOS from the link given below. Please make sure that the AC Adaptor is plugged in and battery is more than 10% charge while updating the BIOS.

Please revert with the results.
