I own a dell inspirion laptop. It has Windows 10 and Intel inside. I made no external or internal configuration. I had it for about a year when my problem happened. It was being slow so I just started to factory reset it. Then about 40% threw it failed. Then it rebooted and went to a dell support assist scan. I let it run and it took a hour or so. It said nothing was wrong and it would reboot. And now it's stuck in this process. I looked for solutions but they all require other computers and I don't have one. Like I can use the ones at my school but those ones won t let me open up applications like the Windows media creation or Rufus. So what do I do? Please help.
Run an extended diagnostic on the hard drive -- F12 at powerup. Post the result (any error code that arises) along with the full model number (i.e., Inspiron N5110, etc).
You're going to need a Windows 10 boot flash drive. If you did not prepare one beforehand, you can download the ISO here along with the tool you'll need to write it to a flash drive.
Boot the system from that and either repair the existing install, or install a fresh copy of Windows 10.
If what you have is a Windows 10 media set for your system, use that -- if not, you're going to need a working system to prepare a new install flash drive.
