Latitude 3550 upgrade windows 10 and no internet connection

I upgraded to windows 10 and now I have no wifi or ethernet connections.  When I type IPCONFIG at the command prompt I get "Windows IP Configuration."   I see the apdapters under the device manager but no connections can be made.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What is the exact OS version installed on the system? Check in command prompt -> systeminfo.

When you type in ipconfig, does it list a valid ip against the network adapter?

Disable the firewall and check if it works.

Try the following ->

  1. Open the Start Menu and then open the Settings window.
  2. Open the Network & Internet section and then select VPN.
  3. If a VPN connection is enabled, click to highlight the connection name and choose to Disconnect. If the customer is not using the connection and wishes to uninstall it, then highlight the connection and click Remove.
    NOTE: If VPN is already set to disabled or no VPN connection is showing, the issue is likely not related to VPN unless the customer has a separate VPN client that is not a part of the Windows OS.
  4. After disconnecting the VPN, the system should be able to access web sites normally. If the issue still occurs, try restarting the system and making sure that the VPN connection is still disabled.

If the issue is not resolved, restart and check in safe mode with networking - http://bit.ly/1LHcO2c

Enable the built in admin account and check if it works there - http://bit.ly/2gX7qE7

If it still does not work, then try the following links
