So my left touchpad button has become unresponsive.
It doesn't seem to be mechanically damaged.
when I use the touchpad utility and swap functionality between the two buttons, it doesn't perform either so I'm guessing this is a physical rather than driver issue.
Thank you for your message.
Is the touchpad button sticky, has there been any liquid spillage?
Run a custom test on the touchpad by following these steps & check if there is any other error listed.
1) Press <F12> at the welcome screen for the boot menu
2) At the One Time Boot menu, press the <Down> arrow key to highlight Diagnostics, then press <Enter> to begin ePSA.
3) Choose no for memory test and then choose system test
4) Now click on custom test and highlight Touchpad/ input devices and click run test
