Latitude CPx H450GT

Hi,

I recently obtained a second hand Latitude CPx H450GT laptop. The laptop itself seems to be fully functional, but for my requirements I'm wondering if it's possible to do the following:

1. Replace 450Mhz processor with a new one (maybe 1 GHZ)

2. Replace RAM to 512MB.

3. Upgrade to Windows XP.

I've looked on the Dell forums and the Internet in general, but I can't find the specs or call up information from Dell using the Service Tag. It's that old.

Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks,

1.  650 is as fast as this type of CPU was made.

2.  Yes, it'll take 2X256 soDIMMs - be sure they're LOW DENSITY (high density 256 won't work).

3.  Not really worth it - XP goes end of life in 10 months, so it joins Windows 98, 2000, etc. on the scrap pile in less than a year (no more security updates).

This system isn't worth upgrading or spending time on.

Ok, thanks. I'll probably put it up on eBay then and try making a few pounds from it.
