Latitude E5550 4G LTE does not work on all networks

Just found out that the 4G LTE modem that is shipped with the Latitude range of laptops (mine is the E5550) does not work on all networks in South Africa.

Dell technicians wasted a week trying to fix a problem, without thinking about checking the base frequencies of the network and LTE card. I had to do that research and tell them that the card won't work.

Dell's response: they refuse to supply a working 4G LTE card.

That is quality service from Dell indeed. Will buy Lenovo next time instead!!!

PS: Whoever had the great idea of hiding the SIM slot inside the back cover is a genius! Now you need to remove the entire back cover just to remove/swop the SIM card. Dell quality design once again!
