Latitude E6540 and HDMI Compability

Hello,

I would like to know if my Latitude E6540 is HDMI 2.0 compatible?

Thank you.

looking at my information I don't see that HDMI 2.0 is mentioned but I think that the problem will be the GPU more than if HDMI 2.0 is supported or not,

If you ordered discreet video with your system, the AMD HD 8790m (MARS-XTX) is reviewed on the following Notebookcheck article.  As you can see the chip tested higher than 1920 x 1080.  This is playing games so just browsing websites you may get higher resolution than 1080p but it isn't something that I can promise.

I wish that I had better news for you. but if you wish to use the U3415W you may want to try a beefier system.

I am asking because I would like to purchase Dell U3415W and would like to know if the resolution (3.440 × 1.440 by 60 Hz) is supported  by my laptop?

Thank you.

Thank you for the reply TB.

I understand now better what I need. I will probably need something like an XPS 8700 with a good video card. But prolly I could also use the Latitude e6540 when necessary, mainly need it for browsing, spread sheets and multiple documents.
