Latitude E7240 Charging Issues

Hi,

I have about 50 Latitude E7240 laptops with docks. Every now and then one of them will come up with a message at boot saying, "Your Power Adapter does not supply enough power to run the attached docking station. Press F1 to continue or F2 for setup".

We're using the AC adapters that came with the docks. If we plug in the laptop's AC adapter the message won't appear. I thought that changing docks might solve the problem, but we still got the message with a different model of dock.

After the problem, the computers were updated to the latest BIOS version, which didn't seem to help.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Having the exact same problem. BIOS is up to date at A10.

But the bigger problem I'm having is the computer doesn't recognize headphones when docked while charging. While it is in the dock charging, and sound playing, plugging in headphones doesn't do anything, just keeps playing through the speakers.

Having the same problem with 6 E7240 laptops. Doesn't seem to prevent it from charging. Though the error display every time the device rebooted.
