We have had reports of users having problems with Latitude E7440 with LiteOn SSD 921PN 128GB SSDs whereby it is not being detected, can’t be formatted or encrypted. The issue has been isolated to the SSD Firmware and LiteOn have released a Firmware update to resolve this particular problem.
If you have this SSD in your Latitude E7440 or have experienced this problem, please update the Firmware to Version HM7110E, A03. As always before applying the Firmware update, please perform a backup of your data to prevent any data loss.
