Latitude Ivy Bridge Availability - when?
Does anyone have any idea when Latitudes with Ivy Bridge processors will be available? I'm looking for something like the E6420 ('14 screen, i7 processor).
Thanks

Intel release date: April 29, 2012. Expect new systems then or shortly thereafter (with likely waits for the first models) - figure sometime early-mid summer, 2012.

Do you know which version of the quad-core will be in Latitudes? I'm hoping for the 3820QM.

There is a report today that a Ivy Bridge based E6430u model will be announced soon that will have an ultrabook form factor. I can only hope that there will also be a 14" model that has room for two drives like the E6400 has.
And while I am wishing for things...how about an eSata port that can handle two simultaneous devices, my E6400 only recognizes one even if two are attached.

The Ivy Bridge Latitude are now available at the Dell store. As of today you have to scroll down to see them on the far left side of the screen - e.g., see text link for E6430.
I'm waiting on a response from Dell to find out why they are forcing the purchase of a nvidia adapter with the quad core. Doesn't make sense given that Ivy Bridge eliminates the need for an graphic adapter unless you are a serious gamer.
