Latitude c600 Laptop memory problem

Hi there All

I have a Latitude c600 that I have had for some years now , I have a problem with one of the memory slots ,, it does not work I have tried different memory and some light padding to push it down etc all have failed , I did have 2x128mb now I have 1x128mb , I have seen for sale a 256mb but I am not sure if this is low density it is , I know mine is pc100 , but some one told me that low density pc133 would be ok ! .

Description:
MT16LSDF3264HG-133E4 AWB 256MB 144p PC133 CL2 16c 16megx8 SDRAM SODIMM, Micron

Ask the vendor - there must be 16 or 18 chips on the module for it to be low density.

Hello,

Crucial memory does have a 256MB chip spec'ed for your model number.

If you read the memory pages at my web site, you can see why it's not a good idea to guess on whether memory will work in a Dell computer.
