Loose Generic USB Hub in Device manager and 4 usb ports on left side of inspiron 1720 after installing AVermedia AverTV Express Mini expresscard

I have been trying to install the application and drivers for the AverTV Express mini onto my Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop computer. First in Windows Vista I started getting BSOD with the error message. BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER. After that I decided after trying to restore windows from a Norton Ghost backup and getting the same results I just reinstall windows vista ultimate 32 bit clean and after installing sp2 try to install the application and drivers however after doing that I started to get other error messages. They were USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED. ONE OF THE USB DEVICES ATTACHED TO THIS COMPUTER HAS MALFUNCTIONED. WINDOWS DOES NOT RECOGNIZE IT. After opening Device Manager. the then the going down to the USB Controllers there is an UNKNOWN DEVICES with a yellow exclamation mark next to it. Before I installed to application and drivers for the AverTV Express mini expresscard
there used to be a GENERIC USB HUB in the UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS properties in the devices manager but now windows doesn't see it . The 4 USB ports on the right side of my laptop computer no longer work after installing the AverTV Express Mini dirvers. Finally I tried installing Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
hoping that perhaps a new OS would solve the problem but I get the same results. When I uninstall the Avermedia AverTV Express mini application and drivers The Generic USB Hub comes back into the UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS properties in the device manager and the left 4 USB hubs on the left side of my laptop work again. When I reinstall the AverTV Express Mini application and drivers in windows I loose the GENERIC USB HUB under the device manager UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS and I loose the left 4 usb ports on my laptop computer. It appears the installing the drivers and/or application for the AverTV Express Mini expresscard does something to the USBHUB.SYS driver that controls the GENERIC USB HUB that enables the left 4 usb ports on my laptop computer. Please help me find a solution to this problem. included with this message are the dxdiag file and the configuration details for my Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop computer
