Loose hindges on the C-Series Latitudes

Is there something that can be done with these? Any tightening, gooy substance applied, etc. I know that you can buy the hindges from various places like ebay and even replacing one will be enough to get the screen hindge tighten so that the screen does not fall backwards on the table.

 

What can be done without replacing hindges?
