Lovely lines of various colors....

So my 5 year old shut my Studio 1555 laptop with her colored pencil between the screen edge and keyboard. When I opened it back up, I discovered I have NOTHING of significance on my screen. I have connected to an external monitor and the display is beautiful, I have take off the keyboard, and screen and checked my wires on the back of the monitor and the wire going into the top of the keyboard, disconnected and reconnected. I still have nothing. My desktop background in green leave, and my screen is lines of green and black. I did also do a LCD bist(?) test, all colored displayed fine, just a single horizontal line right through the middle when green was displayed. Any thoughts? Someone suggested the cable going to the motherboard? I did reseat the LCD cable as well...

While it could be the cable, it's far more likely a damaged screen -- which will need to be replaced.
