M1730 Can bezels on lid be swapped out?

I don't like my choice of "red" as the color of the bezels (is that the right word?) on my laptop's lid.  I wish I had been able to get either white or gray ones.

Is it possible to order inserts of another color from Dell and for me to swap them out?  Alternately, I might even consider taking them off and painting them...has anyone ever removed theirs?  Anyone want to swap red for gray or white?  :robotvery-happy:

Click HERE for a white one on ebay. Not a bad price either.

Well drat, I was hoping the red inserts would just pop out and I could put a different set in.  But they seem to be a part of the whole back cover...I'll have to think about whether or not it's worth all the trouble.

Thanks for the eBay link anyhow; I may end up going that route.  :smileyhappy:

Blimey!  Have you seen how many feedback that seller is quoted as having?

Almost 42¼ million :smileysurprised: :smileysurprised: :smileysurprised:

Aha!  I see what's happening, now you say that!

I thought the figure of 42374237 was astonishing!

But it's simply showing the actual feedback number twice :D
