I have a new Dell Precision M3800. Everything works fine except that I cant install the wifi. The OS is Windows 8.1 Pro/Enterprise
I have bios version A02.
When I run Intel7260_WiFi_W8.14_X17_A03_Setup-HRKWH_ZPE.exe I get the error:
"This software package cannot be installed on your system."
It does not matter if I run on "flight mode" or not.
I cannot see any wifi nic in device manager.
if I run a wmic command to see what network card I have installed I can not see any wifi card.
WMIC NIC WHERE PhysicalAdapter="TRUE" GET /VALUE
If I look at the invoice I can see that "Intel Centrino Wireless-AC 7260 + Bluetooth 4.0" is part of the computer spec.
I cant locate any wifi card in the BIOS should I see one there?
Can anyone help?
Running BIOS A03 I don't see specific entries for much hardware including the WLAN adapter. Have you run the diagnostics? Sounds like you may need to make a tech support call. Any news since January?
