M4600 WiFi and Bluetooth upgradability

Intel came out with a new Half mini PCIe card that allows for dual WiFi and an upgrade to Bluetooth 4.0.

Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260

The M4600's 375 Bluetooth Module is only Bluetooth 3.0.

Can anyone confirm that exchanging the WiFi Half height mini PCIe cards and installing the drivers and Intel PROSet Wireless software will allow the m4600 to be upgraded?

The data on you link is skewed, as it compares the N version of the 7260 card, not the AC one, which is what you mentioned in your first post. Here is a three-way comparison.

Update A little more searching shows that the original WiFi card in the m4600 is the better choice where speed is concerned at a slight cost of power efficiency. See more at this one to one comparison from Intel
