M5010 motherboard failure
When my son started his dell m 5010 yesterday, the computer began the 7 beep sequence. Everyone in the family has a dell laptop and none are more than 2 years old. Its seems that this problem is a common fault with dell m5010 and I have no idea how other models are affected. Its a shame, as I think the design and performance are fine, although the bodywork gets a bit loose, but to hear so many other users on this site and youtube in a similar position and nothing from dell is a bit of a commercial own goal. I wont be replacing with Dell.

I am experiencing the same problem with a M5030 model. Computer is little less than 2 yrs. old. What should I do?

I am very pleased to say that Dell are to replace the motherboard under the parts only warranty.
