M5030
I purchased the Dell M5030 laptop about 20 months ago and like many others who purchased this same model, I got the 7 beep signal indicating a failed processor. I purchased this computer because of the Dell reputation for quality and I must say that I am surprised and disappointed by this failure after a very short life. My first call was to Dell Service but of course with the warranty expired, the repairs would be at my expense. It does not make financial sense to pay two to three hundred dollars to repair a computer that cost slightly over $400. The fact that so many units of this Dell model have failed after 12 to 24 months, will certainly be considered when I am choosing which brand of laptop to purchase next.

That is absolutely right. You just don't have to look for the brand. Few computer company have certain models that don't quite good due to few indications. It would be best to look for the best laptop or desktop available in the market and what are the pros and cons of it before buying.
