{MOVED}my built in mic not work..

i just bought dell inspiron 15r 5520 and its microphone wont work,,when i try to record my voice and play it back nothing washear,,i check the mic properties and it say it  is working,, please help me,,

Hi nezz282,

Please try recording the audio in safe mode. To enter safe mode follow the below steps:

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Keep tapping F8 on the Dell Logo Screen.
  3. Once the computer enters Advanced Boot Option, select Safe Mode with Networking.
  4. Press Enter.

Try recording in safe mode with networking.

If the problem still persists:

  1. Uninstall Audio Device driver and software from Device Manager (check box in uninstall windows) and restart the computer.
  2. Update the audio drivers, use the link below for the audio driver: http://dell.to/183fPcx
  3. Click the link above, select download file and follow the onscreen instruction to complete the installations.

Try using the MIC after trying the above steps and check.

Please post the results.

Hi thanks for your help,,it work. I just follow your step and now the mic is working, but i have another problem i don have maxx wave audio, where i can get it back?

Hi nezz282,

Please let me know the operating system installed in the computer, I will search for right drivers and necessary steps to fix the MIC problem.

I also notice there is no maxx wave audio program,,where i can download this?

Hi nezz282,

I would like to know if Quickset application was installed after Windows 7 operating system wasinstalled?

If not, please install theQuickset application from this link: http://dell.to/12fiVWA

Click the link, select Download file and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Restart the system and check for Waves Maxx Audio.

Please post the results.

yes the quickset was intalled,,maxx wave audio is missing when i uninstall and reinstall audio driver

Hi thanks,,,,for your help i just need to uninstall all audio driver and feature and quiset then reinstall it,,now everything is back again as before,
