Melted Plastic on E1705

Ok, I had some kind of sticky glue build up on my white side trimming, so I used a glue removing product which the bottle said was safe for fiberglass and plastic. Anyway once I put it on I noticed that the white side trim began to melt. Its not that terrible but is kind of visible. Is there any way to polish it back up to how it was before? Also I have a very visible worn out stain on my left palm rest probably from laying my wrist there. Is there anyway to get the stain out of the plastic?
